Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has 10 years of experience in sales and the Forex industry, working under regulated environments. He spent nearly five and a half years at one company before transitioning to XXXX Solutions, where he worked as a retention manager for two and a half years. Since Forex was restricted in India, he explored opportunities in Dubai, where the industry is fully legal. A friend working there since 2018 encouraged him to consider the market, given his extensive experience. In November 2023, he moved to Dubai and joined XXXX, working in B2B retention for seven to eight months. However, concerns arose when the company introduced a potentially unregulated brand, prompting him to seek a more legitimate opportunity. Currently, he serves as a Senior Business Development Manager at XXXX, where he has been for nine months.
-
What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
His strong skills are depends on the company requirements, particularly in sales and client retention. As a Retention Manager, he leveraged his expertise in handling escalations and closing clients, often assisting colleagues struggling with sales. His experience in sales allowed him to understand client needs, effectively pitch solutions, and onboard clients successfully. Over the past ten years, he primarily focused on retention, leading a team of 20. For approximately six years, he managed client portfolios, providing training on market fundamentals, technical analysis, and risk management. He ensured long-term client engagement by offering market reports, trading opportunities, signals, and strategic guidance.
-
Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has been in the industry for a long time, focusing on providing the best services to clients. Last month, a gold rally impacted his existing portfolio, which had around 25-30 active lines with an equity of over $100,000. Due to market conditions, many clients faced losses, but the strong relationships he built helped maintain trust. When he joined XXXX, several clients from his previous company followed him, demonstrating their confidence in his expertise. While some clients take time to reinvest after setbacks, he continues to nurture and retain a solid client base. He started in the forex industry in 2016, initially working in sales. Within six months, after consistently exceeding targets, he was promoted to a retention or relationship manager role. Since then, his experience has primarily been in client retention, rather than direct sales. In Dubai, most firms operate with a Business Development Manager model rather than separate sales and retention teams. Currently, as a BDM at XXXX, he works with leads from the marketing team, ensuring clients receive tailored services, training, market reports, signals, and risk management support to help them navigate the forex market effectively.
