1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has about 10 years of overall experience in the IT industry to which he spent about 7-8 years in cybersecurity. He is currently working as a Senior Security Engineer – VAPT for XXXX in the UAE where he’s involved with several projects from banking domain and some offensive security penetration testing kind of projects as well. On a daily basis, they work on different penetration testing and offensive security or training for web applications, mobile applications, API, and actual infrastructure as well. Apart from that, they’re involved with Wi-Fi assessment, social engineering, PCA assessment, network segmentation, firewall reviews, and lots of other things related. Before that, he worked with other companies including XXXX as a Lead Security Engineer where he was mainly involved with healthcare products and was reporting to their CISO. Prior to that, he was working with XXXX in India as a Senior Security Consultant where he also was servicing retail and investment banking domain for penetration testing and application security assessments. He also was with XXXX as a Specialization Infrastructure Analyst, and led about team of five penetration testers, mostly managing the attack & penetrations projects. He started his career with XXXX as a Security Engineer, XXXX as an Automation Test Engineer, and XXXX as a Testing Engineer.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be offensive security or penetration testing, as well as application security since he has been doing this for the past 8+ years of his career. Apart from that, he’s good with doing code reviews and being involved with cloud-related things.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has more than 8 years of experience in cybersecurity and penetration testing; knowledgeable with tools including Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, and some other application security tools including DAST, SAST, and such. For risk assessments and security frameworks, he’s well-versed with STRIDE Methodology, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP Top 10, and also has number of certifications such as OSCP, CRTE, and cloud-related ones.
