Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has over 12 years of experience in the IT industry, beginning with XXXX Company, where he initially focused on Sun Microsystems products. Although new to the technology, he quickly adapted and contributed to projects involving servers, storage, tape libraries, and networking, including Intel-based machines like HP servers and PCs. His responsibilities also included network migrations to support server connectivity. In 2010, he moved to Dubai to join XXXX, a distributor working with Sun-branded products and later Oracle after the acquisition. His work spanned various technologies such as CCTVs, VMware, Linux, tape libraries, and storage systems, until Oracle ended its partnership with XXXX in 2019. In 2020, he joined XXXX on a temporary basis for a major government project involving two key sites—Dubai Airport and the Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi. His role involved managing the full project cycle, including dismantling old systems, installing new infrastructure, virtualization using VMware, IBM storage, and Lenovo servers, as well as implementing firewalls and network security configurations. After the project concluded, he returned to Jordan due to family responsibilities. Since then, he has been actively seeking on-site roles, leveraging his adaptability and proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and deliver solutions tailored to client needs.
-
What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He has strong experience working with various types of hardware, including UPS systems, servers, network units, switches, firewalls, and high-speed network connectivity. His expertise includes specialized networking setups, such as serial connections and IP-level configurations at the hardware layer. He has worked extensively with Solaris, particularly in environments using Oracle systems, and is currently more focused on Linux-based platforms like Oracle Linux, along with experience on Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, and newer. He has supported it for specific applications like CCTV software and managed related services such as DNS, DHCP, and FTP when required. He is also well-versed in virtualization technologies, creating and managing virtual machines and containers (Docker) to isolate environments and run multiple software instances without conflicts. His background covers both OS-level virtualization and containerization, applied across multiple projects.
-
Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
In XXXX, he worked on designing and demonstrating infrastructure solutions including Oracle, Huawei, and Extreme Networks, as well as CCTV software with video analytics and storage capabilities. He previously worked in sales in Saudi Arabia, where he developed an understanding of how customer requirements shape architectural design and solution layouts. His involvement often began at the pre-sales stage, supporting proposal development by reviewing RFPs and RFQs, carefully analyzing terms and conditions to ensure compliance and avoid project risks. He collaborated with multiple vendors to gather quotations, match specifications, and ensure cost-effective solutions aligned with customer budget. He also actively supported sales teams by addressing technical questions and clarifying product compatibility and benefits. His strong technical background helped bridge gaps between sales and engineering. He regularly engaged with customers at industry events, explained product advantages, tailored presentations based on the audience—whether sales, pre-sales, or technical—and conducted hands-on demonstrations to help customers evaluate the solution's fit. His approach was practical and adaptive, helping customers gain confidence in the product before committing to a purchase.
