1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current/recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
Currently working as a Senior Manager in a Telco company dealing with IP transit network service provider, POPs infrastructure around the globe including US, HK, SG, and Europe. He is responsible for taking care of the network infrastructure in terms of SLA, making sure that there is no congestion and that the network can run efficiently. Currently involved in a migration project shifting the current data center in Singapore to a new location.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest and specialist in?
He specializes in network infrastructure and systems and rates himself 5 out of 5. He has been working on Linux, Unix, and Windows-based servers and systems. He has hands-on experience with Bash, Shell, Python, and PERL, for scripting automation of the networks, for example, checking the router executes commands and modify changes. He uses Ansible for mass deployment and automation and managing the Git and CI/CD infrastructure with his previous company and uses Jenkins for the rollout of the new versions for testing as well as he is knowledgeable about Docker imaging software test environment. He has hands-on experience in production deployment to release management in his previous jobs where they build their own hardware appliances for their server component, getting the hardware from the vendors, installation and after the development has been done will now go to production and release management.
