1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
The initial period of his experience, majority the first five or six years, he was primarily involved in In-Vehicle Infotainment Development for XXXX in Japan where he worked through XXXX. He was mainly working there for audio systems, mainly HMA development, also involved with testing, requirement gathering, and such. After that, he moved to XXXX as a Manager where he was involved within the Research and Advanced Engineering group, doing more of prototyping that will be demonstrated to various stakeholders; his core area was on the connector or telematics side of things. He also worked for XXXX back in India and was also in charge of their connectors, and was a part of the Research and Advanced Engineering of Autonomous and Connected Cars as well. He worked with XXXX as well before moving to Japan wherein he worked with XXXX initially as an Automotive Consultant; he worked there with connectors, mainly ecosystems and third-party enablers that can bring data into ecosystems. After that, he moved to XXXX as a Senior Director which is his current company; he is working there with Software-driven Vehicles development and technologies and is in-charge of building solutions up for SDV as well.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be within the connector/telematics area since he has been working in this area for many years now; currently working with SDV which is also a part of the connector. When it comes to the leadership or management area, he knows what to be done when it comes to development, ensure the delivery point-of-view, quality checkpoints, and manage expectations from customers as well. He’s currently doing about 10-20% technical function and the rest would be spent in the management/leadership functions.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
More than 20 years of experience within the automotive industry and has about 9-10 years of it within leadership roles; he has managed engineering teams working on engineering and automotive-related projects. Apart from that, he’s specialized within systems and also software during the earlier phase of his career so he’s comfortable in working for both areas. On top of that, he handled an audio-related project during his first job, it’s for an infotainment system and integration for one of their clients. Good with budget management, risk mitigation, resource planning, and related skillsets.
