1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is an engineering leader with over 20 years of experience now in the software/electrical space, specializing within Audio and Video systems. He is currently with XXXX, Global Audio Systems company, as a Regional Director of Engineering where he leads all engineering functions across Japan and APAC, mainly involving software and electrical divisions. He also acts as a primary liaison between Japanese Automotive OEMs and also responsible for aligning regional operations with global product and support strategies. Before this, he served as the Director of Software Engineering for the same company but in USA office where he headed the embedded software development for next-gen automotive infotainment platforms and was directly involved with coordinating between US and Japan engineering sites. Prior to this, he was a Senior Engineering Manager for an automotive supplier, he worked on embedded audio systems back then and managed cross-functional teams developing DSP and oversaw lifecycle engineering including post-launch maintenance and field support. He started his first 10 years as a Technical Lead for embedded software modules for infotainment systems and a Junior Engineer for XXXX where he acquired most of his knowledge and first-hand experience with automotive software & systems integration.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his extensive knowledge with automotive infotainment development and in-car audio systems as well. On top of that, he has led engineering teams across different departments, has build and managed a local team of 40+ engineers and support staff, and has aligned Japanese operations to other regions especially USA so he's confident with his leadership skills as well on top of his industry and technical experience.
