1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He started his career with a semiconductor company called XXXX where he spent about five years in marketing and field application engineering for microcontrollers in the automotive market. After some time, he moved to another company called XXXX; he spent about 10 years in that company in which 3 years are in the Germany, 3 years in the US, and the rest in Japan. He worked with Japanese OEM projects as a support engineer, when he went back to japan, he was the Head of Compressor Engineering for Japanese OEMs while still collaborating with USA HQ, development center in China, and other regions. For the past 2 years, he moved to XXXX as the Director for Strategic Business Operations where he basically supports their regional head for automotive department; he has supported teams including sales, operation, organization initiatives, and so on. Apart from that, he’s also involved in pricing strategies, collaborating with sales, division, product team, and support senior leadership teams as well. This role is more of an individual role where he only has direct contact with internal teams both locally and globally, but he had direct contact previously with OEMs especially Honda.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his skills and knowledge in engineering especially within electronics; his research theme back in his doctoral degree was Audio Signal processing. And based on that experience, he moved to semiconductor, generic microcontroller, and moved to mechanical components management as well. So, it’s his expertise in the engineering and automotive field.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
All of his educational background from Bachelor’s to Ph.D. are all engineering-related (Information Science, Electrical Engineering) so he has strong background in it. Apart from that, he has more than 10 years of experience leading cross-functional teams in automotive-related projects and initiatives; he has been in the automotive sector since he started his career. Most of the projects he has been involved with are safety-related products, steering and braking applications, HVAC, and such. He also has great experience working with Western companies and teams so would not be a problem if ever.
