Interview Assessment Notes

1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He graduated from XXXX majoring in Microwave and RF Technology. After that, he was hired in Japan to work directly for his first company, XXXX, as an RF CMOS Analog Circuit Developer; he was designing front end circuitry for digital TVs, tuners, and such in that company. Then from 2007 to September of last year, he was working for XXXX and started as a Product Quality Engineer where he was basically interfacing with customers from the QA team, they get all kinds of failure issues from customer manufactures or maybe from end-user in the field. Once they get the failure, they then do the analysis, do all kinds of risk assessment, then send reports to customer. Apart from that, they also have to set up all kinds of tester to test failures reported by customers; in summary, his work there was 50% failure analysis and another 50% for tester equipment setup. After the COVID, he moved to another team which is in the sales marketing, he worked there as a Field Application Engineer where he was responsible for the technical support and customer development; they have to introduce roadmaps for new technologies of XXXX products, build up customer relationship, drive customer to adopt Intel products, and support customer development teams. On top of that, he was the bridge between customer and Intel technical support engineers mostly based in India. Some of the customers he supported back then was Lenovo Japan, NSPC, Fujitsu, Toshiba, and other major customers.

2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his background in hardware since he majored in circuitry design and his first job was also related to hardware design (CMOS). Apart from that, he’s also proficient in doing tests support for customers, developing new products; he’s also interested in developing some tools innovation automation by himself, those that will be beneficial for his work.

3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has more than 4 years of solid experience as an FAE where he had to support customers in developing new products, and back as a PQE, he also has strong experience with customer-facing tasks, where he had to support lots of customers with all types of issues and concerns; he also worked as a Customer Quality Engineer for about a year where he interfaced a lot with customers, communicate with them about concerns, and such. He’s well-versed in both hardware and software, can do software installation, and develop them himself as well; proficiently uses Python for scripting and development of automation tools. Industry-wise, he has been into PC industry for many years now and would consider that as his niche; although he is very open to try other industries as long as the skillset fits.
