1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has roughly 13 years of experience now and has primarily working within 3 different companies across that timeframe. He started his career with XXXX as a Software Engineer which is also his current company. In between, he has moved across two different companies called XXXX which is an umbrella company of lots of other companies such as Vistaprint, etc. He worked there for a Finance Reconciliation System and was involved on benchmarking as well. After some time, he worked with XXXX as a Senior Member where he was basically involved for one of their SaaS platforms; he built a service there from scratch and was involved in benchmarking, architectural discussions, and such. Again, he is now with XXXX as a Software Development Engineer III where he is mostly working on the backend side of things although having a bit of frontend and ML exposure as well. He is responsible for design, development, and maintenance of systems and platforms; also the gatekeeper which introduces any new best practices across the industry (engineering, quality) and also responsible for mentoring fellow engineers in their organization even though he’s more of an IC.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would lie in software development since he has been in the software development lifecycle for the whole of his career; he can be good in DevOps, application development, application design or architecture, and such. In terms of tools and languages, he is proficient with Java, Kotlin, Python, and different frameworks, cloud technologies, and several databases as well. He has mostly serviced the retail, ecommerce, and cloud industries so far.
