1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He is originally from Slovakia but has studied abroad all his life. After his Master’s degree in Journalism, he went immediately into freelance works and has worked in both English and Slovak which is his native language for few years. He worked on all sorts of publications, did lots of fellowships, and cross-border journalism stuff. He also was with XXXX previously as a News & Assignment Editor, also served as a Coordinating & Field Producer for them where he worked on desk, coordinated, navigated, curated, and edited the whole of international coverage for XXXX. It became challenging for him when he moved to Hong Kong full time because of the working hours so he moved to XXXX as a Senior News Editor where he did a similar job to his previous one, worked with planning logistics teams, he also moved on to the digital team with them once they shifted from TV to digital; he was the one leading the news coverage and news gathering until this April when he decided to take a bit of a break.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his proficient writing skills since his job is to put out information to an entire network including thousands of people and millions of viewers. He is great with writing, editing, and copyediting as well; on top of that, he’s good with coordination and management since he has to work on the ground/field and behind the desk at times.
