  1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has 20 years of experience in IT and the banking industry, with a strong focus on desktop support. For the past 11 years, beginning his career as a desktop engineer and earning a promotion after more than two years. Later, he advanced to a service delivery manager role, overseeing key services from the computer center and managing hardware support operations. In this capacity, he managed an APAC team of around 15 members spread across Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, and Japan, was responsible for budgeting, and maintained close collaboration with key stakeholders through regular office visits. Additionally, he oversaw multimedia support—including video conferencing, livecasts, and video clipping—and gained valuable experience at XXXX in data center support, managing global Internet banking services with prompt updates and patching. The highlights of his career span the past 15 years, demonstrating a progressive development of technical and managerial expertise.

  2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
He has developed strong soft skills through his extensive experience in VIP support and service management. He has taken on executive roles during visits by the apex CEO to the Hong Kong branch and organized event support, including coordinating vendor assistance for renovations. Additionally, he participated in annual small-scale renovations for the Asia International Conference, formerly known as the Asia Investment Conference, held every March. His experience in VIP support has honed his ability to provide unique, prompt responses to high-expectation clients.

  3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He explained that his experience in support were primarily limited to Microsoft products and, at times, mobile products. He noted that banks typically develop their own applications and maintain dedicated support teams, yet his role involves handling issues such as difficulties with mapping teams and problems with Active Directory account onboarding. In these situations, he acts as an intermediary to communicate with vendor teams. His work is largely incident-based, addressing problems like network time discrepancies and Exchange Server outages. In previous roles at SMEs in Hong Kong and at XXXX’s, he was responsible for assembling and repairing computers to manage costs. In contrast, at the bank, vendor-supplied machines are replaced under warranty, which limits opportunities for such hardware assembly. For ticketing and incident reporting, he uses systems like Remedy and ServiceNow, participating in technical support calls even though he is not the designated incident manager.
