Role: Lead 20 technical staff to develop part of the system.
Whole project size: > 60 team members, 18 months and budget > HK$10m.
Selected Past Project
Warehouse robotics project for XXX (Hong Kong).
Role: Project manager of the robotics solution provider, XXX, which is based in Singapore and with factory in India.
Project site: XXX’s PC3 warehouse in Tai Po Industrial Estate, Hong Kong.
Project size: 10,000 sq. feet, 200 racks, 14 robots, 2 chargers, 4 pick-put stations. Budget was around HK$3m.
Technologies used: In the system, an end-to-end Intelligent Order Fulfilment software solution called XXX controls and manages automation in the warehouse via collaboration among devices comprising Butler robots, storage racks, pick-put stations, charging stations, among others. Central to the XXX software is its Artificial Intelligence (AI) which operates at several levels to drive autonomous collaboration to automate warehouse functions and processes. Its always-on AI algorithms learn from large amounts of data and identifies patterns quickly to perform in real-time to make super-smart decisions. It adapts to changing inventory profiles and order fulfilment requirements to optimize path planning and navigation of the robots and racks.

Challenges of this project: There were gaps between warehouse operations in HK and robotics work flows which were designed in the research center in India. My challenges were to bridge the requirements and solutions gaps and managed the user expectations. All these needs frequently communications with all stakeholders.
