He is currently working as Junior DevOps Eng at an IT consulting company, outsourced to other company to do projects, have around 1 year of experience in the IT and cloud industry. Previously worked at a local telco, main responsibility was to make sure that the daily operations are maintained and well managed for around 3 years, he transitioned to the DevOps or cloud because he felt that there was a need to change. His 1st job before coming to SG, was to take care of products, technical implementation and maintenance of client products on site.
He has experience in infrastructure positioning using Terraform and doing it in AWS cloud provided environment. Other than that managing Kubernetes and doing continuous integration and deployment using Bamboo CI / CD tool. He feels that he is still quite junior in DevOps, but has been using Docker and Kubernetes day to day as well.
A project he is doing is a client project for around 9 to 10 months so this is the 1st project in DevOps and where he learned the most, using Terraform, to provide multiple environments, the scope of the project was to migrate and main responsibility was to create the environment with the new infrastructure, mainly focusing on doing stuff, for the infrastructure created. After that was involved in the CI / CD pipelines, tech stack is mainly the elation toolset so the report using bitbucket and CI / CD to Bamboo.
He has also worked a bit in NodeJS and Python, using Lambda function in AWS. He is most familiar with is Shell. Would rate himself 3.5 out of 5in Shell and 3 out of 5 in Docker and Kubernetes.
