He re-joined XXXX on the end of July, and has been working there for 3 years as an analyst programmer and there are 2 main tasks, deploying XXXX banking software and working with Unix command interface. He is also helping to support the other team to run the payment batch processes, the scheduling software. Previously at trading screen he worked for a support role, working with the support portal, onboarding clients that will be involve in setting-up the accounts, the other was helping with the issues and marking the date of issues, doing level 1 support, usually things like board issues and typically the board data to see the transactions sent between the broker and client and then solving the issues like the gateway level 1 support, responding to clients via email or phone, focus on managing stakeholders, it was more high-level technical background.
He is strongest in database management and has recently been working for 5 years in the financial industry, the key skills are SQL and Unix. Would rate himself 4 out of 5 in SQL and Unix.
He has done a project that is more on the BAU side, with XXXX, because he is working with the XXXX platform, has been maintaining, and he had to work with updating and advancing their Unix interface and a lot of their deployment was done with Unix menu and he had to develop the back-end Unix menus and work with the business requirement to implement the processes, to get the BAU day to day task working. With XXXX, he was working with resolving the old issues that would usually take longer and not be a quick fix such as a few days or a few weeks, with a lot of the old queries that came in, he will review the fax messages, any errors, invalid values within the fix messages, he was new to the trading industry and essentially do some research online to do historical cases to look at the historical values and liaise with other departments to resolve the issues, sometimes there would be straightforward fix in the configuration screen, if it was a complex situation will get help, sometime it has some limitations so he has to escalate it to developers.
