1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She has been a technical writer for over 10 years, since she graduated from university. She has worked on the semiconductor industry and new energy industry, mostly for software products and documentation. Currently, she’s with XXXX as a Technical Writer where she mostly handles documentation for software and SoC products including user guides, API documentation, test methods, and such; all their documentations are organized in one online platform, both hardware and software, but she’s mainly focused on the software documentation part. Before this, she was a Content Designer for XXXX where she also did product manuals, user guides, and other type of documentations related to the software of their product which are equipment for power production, wind resource examination system, and such. She started her career as a Technical Communications Engineer where she maintained and developed documentations for different electronic products; she did manuals for new features or workflows, theoretical basis, functionality, and such.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be her deep knowledge of documentation convention which is different from normal writing, she also is familiar with the standard documentation rules. On top of that, she uses different documentation tools including Adobe Frame Maker, oXygen XML, and Microsoft Office Suite; she also uses the markdown method to write documentations.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
Has more than 10 years of experience in technical writing spanning from electronics, wind and energy, and semiconductor products. She is also confident to work on documentations for engineering, machines, and consumer products; her focus is more on the software side but she also has knowledge with writing for the hardware side of things. She’s knowledgeable with some Adobe tools, XML documentation, and Office tools for writing her materials. Apart from that, she’s familiar already with the standards and compliance as she has been doing this for more than a decade now.
