1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
She was previously working with XXXX as a Senior Technical Writer, which is a fintech company focused on subscriptions and similar businesses; she was the one updating all the release notes, UI configuration guides, and API reference guides. Before this, she was a Patent Engineer for XXXX where she was responsible for translating patents between Chinese and English. Prior to that, she has mainly worked on telecommunication companies such as XXXX (focused on conferencing systems), XXXX, and XXXX (focused on routers, switches, multiplexers, and similar products); she was a Technical Writer in all of those roles mostly working on different materials such as release notes, configuration guides, administration guiders, and user guides both on the hardware and software side of their products.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be technical writing in general since she has been doing this for more than 14 years now in different industries including fintech and telecommunication; she’s open to try and explore more industries available in the market. Aside from writing, she also has experience working on some illustrations such as technical descriptions, workflows, and call-out for hardware pictures.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
She has over 14 years of experience in technical writing and is well-versed with the standards and compliance to regulations (China, Europe, and other international regulatory); she has mostly worked on the hardware and software side of their fintech and telecommunication products so she can confidently work on engineering and consumer products. She has knowledge using Adobe Suite tools especially Photoshop, AutoCAD, and other illustrators as well. Also good with XML documentation and uses DITA mostly for her writings.
