1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has been a technical writer for about 20-21 years now and has worked on many international companies such as XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Currently, he’s a Technical Writer for XXXX, which is a growing startup, where he creates both Chinese and English documentation mainly related to cloud database products, he worked on quick start guide, data migration docs, and some reference docs as well. Previously, he was a Documentation Manager for XXXX where he was handling documentation for financial and fintech products. Also was with XXXX as a Documentation Leader where he again handled cloud products, internal documentation, and translation of their product documentations as well. On the earlier years of his career, he has worked with XXXX for Office 365 products, XXXX for internal documentation products, XXXX for their products including user guides, installation guides, and release notes, and started with XXXX where he did documentation for data communication products.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his sense of writing, he can dive deep into customer’s requirements, and improve the documentation experience for them. He has lots of experience in revamping as many documentation websites as he can to improve the experience, including UI, layout, organization of topics and contents, and such.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
Has more than 20 years of experience in technical writing mostly for cloud, software, and financial products. He has great knowledge of technical standards, directives, and compliance as well. For Adobe Suite tools, he’s well-versed with FrameMaker and is also keen to learn more about InDesign and Illustrator; currently, he’s mainly using GitHub and VSCode since most of their products are open source. Even though he has mostly worked on the software side of things, he would be comfortable working with consumer products such as electronics and appliances.
