1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has spent over five years now in creating technical documentation especially for the tech industry. He is currently with XXXX as a Technical Communicator where he develops mostly API reference guides and integration documentation for AI models, as well as installation manuals using Swagger, Postman, and DITA. Besides that, he has collaborated with machine learning teams to document model training workflows and use version control for that as well such as GitHub. Apart from those, they work with clients who wants to source technologies from China as well and draft SOPs, installation guides, and such for those clients. Previously, he has worked for two different companies in Kenya including XXXX and XXXX where he both served as a Technical Documentation Writer/Specialist; he worked on SOPs back then to reduce queries for support, improve workflow process, and such since they are BPO companies.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be his versatility within the technical side and crafting technical documentation in that field. He is flexible with anything that their clients want for their business and requirement, and regularly uses tools such as DITA/XML, Confluence, Adobe Illustrator for designing/illustrating, Lucidchart, and Draw.io as well.
3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements?
He has more than 5 years of experience in technical writing and documentation, mostly for the software side of things like SOPs, workflow models, and other related materials; has worked on installation guides, user manuals, safety/legal documentation. Although he has been focused on the software side, it usually has correlation with hardware components so he will be comfortable working on that area as well. He has great hands-on of Adobe Illustrator, basic knowledge of InDesign, and also strong with XML documentation. Apart from that, he is well-versed with compliance with customer, legal, and safety requirements mostly for CRM systems, AI tools, and legal workflows).
