1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs?
He has over 10 years of experience in business and project delivery; he started his career with XXXX as a Portfolio Manager where he managed 17 different countries across the Caribbean, both from account management and project management perspective. After that, he moved to Canada to finish his Master’s and worked with XXXX as well later on as an IT Project Manager. Then he also joined XXXX as again an IT Project Manager where he managed different public websites for municipalities and government within the province. Few years ago, he moved back to Halifax as a Senior Consultant, Project Manager for XXXX where he was involved with project delivery, sprint planning, and stakeholder collaboration as well. After that, he joined XXXX as a Senior IT Project Manager and Program Manager where he managed several cloud-based solutions across different global regions from Australia, India, UK, Ireland, and so forth. He also managed several projects there over the last three years such as, aside from cloud-based solutions, enterprise solutions, and more. Then more recently, he joined XXXX as an Agile Team Lead where he is currently managing a modernization project for the citizens of Nova Scotia; they have three teams which comprise about 19 members and they do Agile approach to manage those application. In this role, he also wears two hats including Agile Team Lead and also looks at end-to-end project delivery; some of his daily responsibilities includes attending stand-up meetings with scrum team, sprint planning, refinement session, develop user stories and such. Most of the sectors they worked with includes government, legal accounting, professional services, healthcare, and such.
2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in?
Strongest skill would be project delivery including risk and cost management, understanding the different framework between Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall managing. Apart from that, he’s great with change management, project planning, cost performance, and such. The other part of his core strength is managing and understanding the team, having empathy with them and ensuring a good working environment for them so they can perform effectively; excellent with bridging the gap between stakeholders and team.
