Job Description
- Server administration (Windows, Linux, Sun Solaris)
- Installing and configuring new hardware and software, Also Analysing system logs and applying operating system updates, patches (via WSH) and configuration changes
- Handle user administration (adding, removing, updating user account) , system security and hardening
- Database administration (MS SQL, MY SQL, Oracle) and Database mirroring/replication, backups, restoration, recovery models, database shrink operations
- Database index management, patching and Server virtualization (Hyper-V)
Key Candidate Criteria
- Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in server administration
- Strong knowledge in backups, restores, recovery procedures
- Experience in implementing operational automation (through scripting), designing / solution for a new / enhanced server set-up and/or other innovation / improvement solutions
- Advantage if you have knowledge in SQL development( stored procedures, functions, tables, triggers, indexes etc) and Scripting languages (PowerShell, VB Script, Perl, Python)
- Fluent in English, can sponsor SG/HK candidates.
